Claudette Lusan

Huntsville, AL

Claudette Lusan became a disciple in Jamaica, West Indies. She has always had a desire to travel on mission trips, which led her and her husband to lead Huntsville, Alabama in 2017. She serves as a Women’s Ministry Leader, alongside her husband in the Greater Huntsville Church. Claudette’s love for people led her to pursue a career in nursing. As a Nurse Practitioner, she enjoys working with patients, helping them find solutions to medical concerns. Claudette has been on several mission trips, including Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Suriname. She exhibits a passion for helping women find their purpose through a deeper relationship with God. She’s fun to be around, trusts, and enjoys serving within her community. She enjoys, soccer, fashion, travel, learning different cultures, and food, and she loves to spend quality time with friends and family. One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 84:1 “ How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!”. Her mantra is, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”

The class "Beyond Survival: Finding Meaning and Purpose in the Journey of Raising a Child With Special Needs" is designed to provide support, guidance, and empowerment to parents and caregivers who are navigating the unique challenges of raising a child with special needs.


In this class, participants will explore topics such as acceptance, self-care, advocacy, and building a support network. Emphasis will be placed on moving beyond mere survival mode and discovering the profound meaning and purpose that can be found in this journey.


The ultimate goal of the class is to help participants shift their perspective from a place of overwhelm and isolation to one of empowerment and fulfillment. By embracing the journey and discovering a deeper sense of meaning and purpose, parents and caregivers will be better equipped to provide the love, care, and support their child needs, while also nurturing their own personal growth and well-being.
