A Note From Our Planning Team

We're delighted that you are considering joining us in October for the first-ever Beloved and Dignified Conference. We wanted to give you a little background on who we are and how this conference came to be.

All of our planning team members are also members of the International Churches of Christ (ICOC), but unlike most ICOC conferences, there is no one "sponsoring church" for this event. Instead, this event is a grassroots effort! We are a group of women who either facilitate or participate in various support groups across four different continents. It was our experiences in these groups that planted the seed for this conference. We realized two things:

  1. That the testimonies and lessons learned in the valleys could potentially help not just our own local churches, but also women all over the world, and

  2. That the online format is perfect for this conference, in that it will keep the costs low and remove the barriers of finances and travel for many.

This two-day conference is open to all women who would like to attend, regardless of religious background or affiliation.

This conference will also be different in terms of how our classes are presented. In most cases, similar events offer a digital pass that allows attendees to rewatch the recordings over and over. However, the speakers will be sharing much more personal and raw than the usual conference. For that reason, we have made the decision not to record these classes, and also request that attendees not utilize third-party recording software.

That's not to say you'll leave empty-handed! We'll be providing a virtual book that will contain the stories and "life lessons" from each of our speakers. That will be sent to you shortly after the conclusion of the conference.

There will be a lot to process here. In between the sessions we will be providing self-care practices for our attendees to help them manage emotions that may come up as a result of the testimonies and sharing in these classes. Following the conference, we will be providing follow-up times to spiritually grow through these hard times.

We look forward to seeing you in October! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out: belovedanddignified@gmail.com
