Jolly Busingye and Rita Ghareeb

War Child

In this poignant class, Jolly and Rita will explore the profound impact of war through the eyes of children and adults alike, reflecting on the loss of innocence amidst chaos and trauma. They witnessed families torn apart, homes abandoned, and the overwhelming sense of fear and uncertainty that accompanies conflict. Yet, within this darkness, they also uncover threads of hope and the redemptive power of faith.

As Lebanon faces a new wave of conflict, the speakers will draw from personal experiences, including Rita's childhood memories of war at the age of eight. Serving with HOPE worldwide Lebanon, she connected with displaced individuals who have fled their homes, evoking the troubled emotions she experienced as a child. This journey brings to light not only the questions left unanswered by war but also the healing that can arise from faith.

Through shared stories, Jolly and Rita will reflect on the importance of kindness, friendship, and community support during challenging times. They find solace in the knowledge that we are never truly alone. As they meditate on Isaiah 43:1-7 TPT and Psalms 91, they remind us of God's unwavering love and promises: "Do not fear... I am with you now," and "He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings." Together, attendees embark on a healing journey, embracing love and support while navigating personal challenges.

Shalom.
