Hazel Jones

Hazel Jones was converted in Columbia, SC and has been a disciple since 1982. She has served in the Teen ministry in New Jersey and the Singles ministry in New Jersey, New York and currently in the Charlotte Church in Charlotte NC. Hazel enjoys spending time with family and friends, sharing and teaching God's word and serving in various ways at church and in her local community.

Looking For My Place at the Table

When we long to find a "seat at the table," it feels disheartening to discover that many seats have been reserved. This class will offer varied perspectives concerning difficulties facing women in the church today who long to use their leadership and teaching gifts. When such challenges aren't acknowledged or understood, frustrations and disappointments grow, communication can become difficult, and "sides" can be taken. This class will seek to illuminate the emotional and exhausting toll the search for a "place at the table" involves while offering ways to make progress, knowing Jesus sits at the table, holding a seat for us.
