Catina Ross

Illinois

Born and raised in the heart of Chicago, Catina Ross is a devoted wife, mother, and woman of God. For over 25 years, she has dedicated herself to building a career in corporate America while also embracing her profound calling as a mentor and public speaker. Catina became a disciple of Christ in 1999, and her life was forever changed.

She has served in various church ministries—youth and family, worship, and sound—but the one that has shaped her the most, and been the most challenging, is the ministry of her own marriage. Divorce and remarriage were never part of the plan she envisioned for her life, yet those words became part of her story.

Catina’s journey has not been easy. As a child, her life was shattered by countless struggles—molestation, an incarcerated father, family substance abuse, co-dependent siblings, and bullying. These experiences left deep scars, and at 20, when she married young and already had a child, she was unprepared for the weight of it all. In a community where therapy is often stigmatized, Catina carried these burdens in silence, believing she could fix it on her own.

But then, God intervened. The God she knows—the God who never abandons us—showed her that her story wasn’t finished. Her healing began when God took her back to the place where she was first formed, pulling her from her “Darkest Hour.” That darkest hour was an unexpected divorce that left her family and friends shattered. It wasn’t easy; she was stripped down, rebuilt, and made whole again.

Today, Catina stands as someone thriving—fully present, deeply conscious of her purpose, and ready to share her story.

Darkest Hour

Hold my hand as I look back on a 2-year period in my life that was trampled with infidelity and felt like the end of my existence and my Christianity. Hold your breath and get ready to exhale as I explore how God used vulnerability, authenticity, and transparency to reveal my new lot in life and unveil a true relationship WITH HIM.
